On Wednesday, a 27-year-old woman spoke up about the alleged sexual assault she suffered under a pastor. According to the Sowetan, the religious leader faces several charges of sexual assault.
The 43-year-old pastor, who has not been named because he has not yet pleaded to the charges, is set to return to the Bronkhorstspruit magistrate's court on Thursday.
According to the victim, the religious leader sexually assaulted her on six different occasion, which took place between 2006 and January 2018.
She said the pastor would spray her with anointing oil before forcing himself on her, Briefly.co.za gathered. The mom of two said the pastor would wait until her fiance was at work before he came to 'pray' for her.
She recalled the first time it happened, the pastor gave her a ride home and said she needed to be delivered from evil spirits, which were attacking her womb and breasts.
According to the victim, he allegedly told her to take off all her clothing and to kiss him. He then reportedly pushed her down on the bed and sexually assaulted her.
She added he would allegedly send her messages after the incident to say he enjoyed it- and she started to ignore his calls.
She confided in another member of the church and stopped attending his sermons. She allegedly filed a report on 13 November.
"I was shocked to find out that there were other victims and women who were afraid to speak," she said
