- On Twitter, Mthembu said the EFF should hang their heads in shame
ANC Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu feels the EFF are nothing more than bullies who are trying to hide their own mistakes and flaws.
He accuses the EFF of bullying Pravin Gordhan to "hide their own shenanigans". Mthembu took to social media to express his views on the EFF and their behaviour.
News24 reports that Mthembu hates bullies and he does not approve of how the EFF zoomed in on the Public Enterprises Minister.
Mthembu stated on social media that bullying behaviour reminds him of the apartheid times.
Let me put it on record: I just hate bullies. I hated apartheid bullies and I hated the apartheid army. When anybody stands up to bully anyone, you know, it takes one back to those days.
Mthembu added that he will stand by what he said on Twitter and will not keep quiet when someone is bullied.
Here are a few of Mthembu's tweets:
The EFF's spokesperson, Mbuyiawni Ndlozi, responded to one of Mthembu's tweets:
The EFF has gone on the attack since they were linked to the VBS Mutual Bank looting.
Lately, they have intensified their efforts against Gordhan, even accusing his daughter of scoring over R80 million worth of tenders from her father.
As reported on earlier by Briefly.co.za, Investec released a statement denying allegations that Anisha Gordhan benefited from government tenders.
