A young woman in Johannesburg turned to Twitter recently to help her unemployed brother get a job.
The woman, who uses @wa_ndeme as her username, posted a picture of her brother holding a placard that outlined his qualifications and experience. She wrote:
Help my brother get a job. Kindly retweet. His employer might be on your TL. Your help will be much appreciated.
The placard indicated that @wa_ndeme's brother holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work and postgraduate diploma in primary health. He has two years of experience.
Twitter users responded positively, retweeting @wa_ndeme's appeal 4,100 times so far.
Several tweeps replied with job openings for the woman's brother to pursue.
Some tweeps noticed that the young man hadn't spelt "experience" correctly and offered him friendly advice.
