Briefly.co.za have gathered info on some of the more dramatic moments of the event, for your entertainment.

1. Queen B ruled like...a queen

Bonang Matheba was the gorgeous host of the event and she nailed it like she always does with these things. She also won the Favourite Personality of the Year award. We have to say, her dresses during the night were mesmerising.

2. Skolopad almost missed the show

Since her serious car accident earlier this year, Skolopad has been rather quiet. But she planned a fantastic comeback with the award ceremony. Sadly, plans went askew and she was left outside while guests were having a blast. She did eventually get in, but not how she planned.

3. Evodia and Somizi wowed guests

Evodia's appearance on the stage had guests in stitches. She presented the prize for Favourite Radio Personality and her comments were hilarious.

Somizi came onto the stage for a brief performance that the audience absolutely loved. He proved that he's still at the top of his game.

4. Ma Rebecca Malope was honoured

The ceremony took a small break from formalities to honour the legendary Dr Rebecca Malope. Her contribution to the industry is immense and she had to be celebrated. It was only right. She was given a well-deserved standing ovation after singing and couldn't hold back the tears. We love this woman!

5. Nomzamo left guests breathless

Nomzamo Mbatha arrived at the ceremony's upper steps like royalty. The press surrounded her and couldn't get enough of her. Her entrance was a definite "wow".

6. Thembsie was the crowd favourite

Thembsie Matu quite rightly won the Favourite Actress award and she was greeted with screams of "Petronella" (her character on The Queen) as she made her way onto the stage. She also received the biggest prize of the evening - The Ultimate Viewer's Choice Award. Congrats, girl!
