With tensions on the rise in South Africa over the expropriation of land without compensation and a divided ruling party, worshippers of all faith groups decided it was time to pray for unity.
On Sunday, 25 October 2018, people of all religious backgrounds came together at the FNB Stadium to pray for South Africa.
One of the key points at the National Prayer Day was unity. Thousands of people, including members of the ZCC church, bowed their heads in prayer for South Africa.
According to Eyewitness News, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu leaders addressed the crowds and some notable figures also attended the prayer meeting.
