Lerato Khanye, the ex-partner of the late rap superstar Jabulani "HHP" Tsambo, has passed away.
Nkululeko Ncana, the spokesperson of the Tsambo family, confirmed the sad news to TshisaLIVE. He said Lerato died in the early hours of Monday.
The circumstances of her passing remain unclear. The spokesperson appealed to the public to grant the family privacy during this period.
HHP and Lerato were parents to 13-year-old son Leano, Briefly.co.za gathered. This means that he has lost both parents in a matter of weeks.
In an interview soon after HHP's passing, Lerato revealed how the loss was hard to deal with for her and Leano.
She further revealed that young Leano was having difficulties sleeping because of HHP's passing.
HHP and Lerato Khanye had separated for years but remained cordial co-parents to Leano. HHP was married to Lerato Sengadi at the time of his passing.
