The law firm that provided a trust account for President Ramaphosa's presidential campaign funds says there is no link to the Guptas or Trillian.

As reported by News24, this denial comes after the DA made several accusations against the president.

The DA released a statement on the 27th of November saying that there is a link between the donation received by President Ramaphosa for his election campaign from Bosasa and the Guptas.

According to the DA, there is a link between a law firm that was administering a so-called “slush fund” from which Ramaphosa received the R500 000 and the Guptas.

It is said that the law firm Edelstein, Farber and Grobler (EFG), which administered the trust fund which the donation was paid into, is linked to Trillian Capital Partners (TCP), however, EFG denies these claims.

Briefly.co.za gathered that EFG plans to sue Mmusi Maimane over "defamatory statements and innuendos".

TCP is believed to be a Gupta-linked financial advisory firm and was involved in an unlawful contract that billed Eskom R600 million.

Maimane also said President Ramaphosa and Bosasa is exactly the same as former president Zuma and the Guptas:
