A Twitter user from Nigeria recently shared how he broke up with his bae in the process of planning a birthday surprise party for her. Leinad Roi began his story by saying:

Am so sad af. I just broke up with the girl I truly love. She put up the most disgusting attitude I least expected.
Through out last night I was chatting with her friend, cos I was planning on giving her a surprise birthday party come December 6. My gf thought otherwise.

Leinad said his bae took his phone and demanded to see his chat with her friend. She was seemingly insecure, Briefly.co.za gathered.

However, Leinad didn't want to reveal the surprise party and therefore refused to show her the chat. This apparently upset her and she flushed his phone down the toilet.

Leinad's followers offered him advice about what he should do. Many of them urged him to understand his bae's insecurity.

Some advised him to go ahead with the birthday surprise — but with a twist.

One tweep blamed Leinad for provoking his girlfriend by chatting to her friend late at night.

For some, Leinad would be better off without his bae.
