Gordhan dismisses move to press charges, says they aim to distract the public

Pravin Gordan has dismissed the Economic Freedom Fighter’s allegations against him as nothing more than a “disinformation campaign”

The Public Enterprises Minister lambasted the EFF’s cases against himself as well as his daughter as an abuse of the justice system.

According to Gordhan the EFF’s charge sheet is completely fabricated and contains baseless lies and fake news.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that the EFF recently opened a case against Gordhan in response to the Minister filing charges of criminal injuria and incitement to commit violence.

Julius Malema has filed cases of fraud and corruption against Pravin Gordhan on Tuesday in Pretoria. This was in response to the charges laid by the Minister against himself as well as his deputy Floyd Shivambu.

The Minister described the move as “ the politics of distraction” and encouraged people to ask the EFF what they were hiding and why they were so desperate to distract peoples attention.

Julius Malema defended the party’s move against Gordhan while addressing a crowd in Pretoria, stating that they were fighting against corruption.
