A young man from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, has finally graduated as a doctor after six long years of study.

Olwethu Vilakazi took to Twitter recently to share the exciting news of his achievement, Briefly.co.za gathered.

He shared a photo of his stethoscope and badge showing his title. He accompanied it with the caption, "Degree complete. Y'all can address me as Dr. O.N Vilakazi."

Olwethu's post inspired thousands of tweeps, amassing over 2,100 likes and 230 retweets in the process.

Many of them congratulated him on his achievement. Some also indicated that they are in the process of obtaining a similar qualification.
