So many black people are crippled by black tax and one lady decided to put her foot down and speak her mind.
On Tuesday, Abby Gugu Banda took to her Twitter account to share screenshots of messages she presumably sent to her mother.
"I know that I 'overshare' on here. However, I’m not one to pretend like my life is a fairytale. I deal with challenges everyday, some that are enough to send me to a mental institution but I rise above it all and choose to look at the positive side of life. This is where we are," she captioned the post.
In the messages, Abby calls out her parent for only using her to get money. She pointed out she could not 'remember the last time she felt like a daughter'.
Abby added she placed her dreams aside to help her mother out with her business.
"We don't have a relationship outside your financial demands," she said at one point in a very long message.
Briefly.co.za gathered a lot of other tweeps shared her pain, adding some parents acted as if they were owed for raising a child. And, those who could not relate only wished her good luck in her struggle.
