A young woman had the wedding of her dreams but it seemed nearly impossible 3 years ago when she was the victim of a horror car crash.
Weddings serve up a host of memorable moments.
There’s the venue with décor, the couple’s first dance and the cutting of the cake.
Many would argue though that the most iconic moment is when the bride is walked down the aisle and the guests catch the first glimpse of the wedding dress.
For Ally Grizzard, this walk was extra special and made news headlines.
Ally was paralysed following a terrible car crash 3 years ago so her walk down the aisle was truly miraculous.
Fox news reported that Ally drove her dog to the vet 3 years ago when a car crashed into her at speed.
“I felt my entire back shatter right then,” Ally revealed.
During the 3 years that followed, she endured tremendous pain and gruelling rehab.
However, she also received a proposal from her husband to be.
Determined to walk down the aisle, Ally put in a tremendous amount of effort into her rehab work.
Eventually her big day came and with the help of her father and stepfather, Ally was able to walk down the aisle all the way to her husband.
Ally hopes her remarkable journey will inspire others with disabilities.
She says, “You can still get married. You can still have kids and do everything you used to do, just do it in a different way.”
