SA in stitches over video of cops throwing stones in traffic confrontation

Rock-throwing is usually protesters' choice of ammo, but a couple of cops resorted to the tactic while trying to detain a man.

On Saturday, a video was shared on social media which showed traffic officers attempting to detain a man.

However, the incident soon turned into a spectacle and South Africans had front row seats to what turned out to be quite the hilarious situation.

In the video, the individual is seen circulating the officer's car, armed with some sort of object in his hand.

The cops try to get close enough to him to detain him but they are visibly cautious- so, two of the officers decided to use protesters' strategy. They picked up stones and one of the officers tries to hurl it over the car toward the man.

However, he misses and the cat and mouse game continue. At one point it even appeared as if the man was about to steal their car.

Although it was a serious situation, South Africans could not help but laugh at the cops' desperate attempts to catch the man. Briefly.co.za decided to take a look at some of the reactions.
