A young graduate from the University of Cape Town was left emotional after getting her degree with distinction.

Khanya, whose Twitter handle is @kay_peaa, shared the inspiring news on her profile recently, Briefly.co.za gathered. She wrote:

When I called my dad, I was crying so hard he thought something was terribly wrong. That is how overcome with emotion and pride I am. This here girl, is not only a UCT graduate, but she got the degree with distinction.

Khanya's tweet has picked up 2,100 likes and over 200 retweets so far, proving just how inspiring her achievement is to many tweeps.
