South Africans watching the Global Citizen Festival at home were left disappointed when the Beyoncé-Jay Z performance was cut short. This while Fikile Mbalula fainted after seeing Queen Bey.
South Africans who couldn't get tickets to the Global Citizen Festival were set to enjoy the performances at home, but that led to bitter disappointment.
The most anticipated performance did not live up to the hype. First, Beyoncé and Jay-z disappeared after 2 songs - the diva had to change her outfit. Then the couple did 3 songs before being replaced by Trevor Noah.
That was it, South Africans at home didn't see the rest of Beyoncé or Jay-Z's performance.
The Citizen reports that the couple wanted the rest of their performance to be exclusive for those who were at the stadium. No one was impressed.
Even EFF leader Julius Malema took to social media to voice a complaint about the abrupt end:
Meanwhile, Fikile Mbalula, who we all know is a huge fan of Beyoncé, admitted that he fainted a little bit when he saw her. He later claimed he was doing the idibala, but we don't buy it.
