But a 26-year-old lady is changing the status quo as she has boldly come out to declare herself as HIV positive on social media.

Today, December 1, 2018, being World AIDS Day, Doreen Moraa Moracha, a Kenyan lady, thought it wise to inspire others with her story.

According to her, she was born HIV positive to discordant parents (the father is negative but the mother is positive).

But 18 years later, Moracha who celebrated her birthday on August 8 said: she is"still here going strong dealing with self-stigma, societal stigma, discrimination and rejection but still standing strong."

Using her case as an example, Moracha advised all to get tested since HIV is not the death sentence many people fear it to be.

"Most people fear HIV because they know it is a death sentence. Well, I'm here to prove you wrong. I've been living positively for 26 years so if it was a death sentence shouldn't I be dead already?," she retorted.

Moracha added: "People say I make HIV look easy but it is easy I am not ready to give a small virus power over my life I accepted my status and every day I declare that I am greater than HIV. "

Moracha's inspiration and advice could not have come at a better time as their the theme for year's World AIDS Day celebration is 'get tested and know your status.'

In other news, the controversial 'man of God', Bishop Daniel Obinim has launched an attack on Prophet Nigel Gaisie over the latter's trending revelation that he saw Obinim in heaven in a vision.

According to Obinim, Nigel's revelation was childish and does not make sense to him.

“I am not happy about it at all because it’s not making sense. This is childish. If I see you in heaven, I will ask the reason why you are here," he charged.

But Prophet Nigel has not taken the attack lightly as he has launched a counter-attack of his own blasting bloggers and social media users for twisting his words in the revelation.
