Former Banyana Banyana legend, Portia Modise, has another feather in her cap as she was announced as an ambassador to the Women’s World Cup.
Briefly.co.za understands that Modise is part of a group of 13 legends who will promote the prestigious tournament.
Arguably the greatest Banyana Banyana player ever, Modise is perhaps getting the recognition her playing days deserved.
KickOff.com reported that Modise will be travelling to France from January and every month thereafter until the World Cup.
The event will be hosted across 9 different cities in France.
The opening ceremony takes place on 7th June and the tournament will run until 7th July 2019.
Banyana Banyana have made history by qualifying for the tournament for the first time in their history.
