Amidst the drama and negative reports of events following the Global Citizen festival, a touching story has emerged serving as a reminder of the South African spirit.

A horror show unfolded outside of the FNB stadium on Sunday as concert-goers were at the mercy of armed thugs as they left the concert.

Numerous reports of robberies, assault and even sexual assault have been reported as security and SAPS (South African Police Service) were highly criticised for their lack of presence.

However, one man has gone out of his way to share his experience with social media.

While it highlighted the unsavoury scenes after the concert, the post also revealed 2 policemen who saved tons of people on the day.

Daniel Craig Johnson shared a post on Facebook which detailed how a large group of thugs tried to attack him and a female friend.

The quick-thinking duo managed to elude the criminals and made their way to the K-9 unit.

The 2 police officers then told them to wait with them until their Uber driver arrived.

During this time, the 2 policemen took it upon themselves to escort others to safety and restore order at the nearby SASOL garage.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Daniel was eventually able to trace his 2 saviours and personally thanked them for their bravery.
