A man showed his gratitude via social media to a cop who tracked him down to return his stolen wallet.
The uplifting post was shared in the Positive Racial Testimonies in SA Facebook group.
Hennie Muller shared the news in the group which was created to share motivational stories of South Africans crossing the racial divide.
Briefly.co.za have shared some of their goodwill posts in recent times.
According to the post, Facebook user, Mike Bottger, wrote a message of thanks to the policeman.
However, all was not as it seemed as Demetrius Dudley pointed out.
Upon closer inspection, the policeman pictured in the photo was not a member of SAPS (South African Police Service).
The officer’s lapel badge indicated he worked for the Namibian police.
Hennie Muller then offered an immediate apology for the misinformation.
Nevertheless, it is heartening to know the racial goodwill is being spread outside of South Africa’s borders as well.
