Tweep claims Nigerians are dramatic: 'I spent 80k', Kanti it’s R450

A Twitter user poked fun at the weak Nigerian currency and how inflated the prices of goods seem and the post received a lot of attention.

Twitter user, @LufunoShotheli, shared an interesting tweet claiming that Nigerians are very dramatic, particularly when referencing the cost of goods.

Fellow tweeps saw the funny side as well and soon added more examples as well.

Briefly.co.za gathered that 1 South African Rand equates to 25,92 Naira.

The huge conversion rate does make for inflated price comparisons and the funny examples kept coming.

However, in the midst of the humour, some tweeps provided a different perspective.

The serious messages soon ended and the laughter continued as more and more saw the funny side.

The amusing thread then went into a different direction when some tweeps revealed that Uganda’s currency is even weaker than the Naira.
