Generations, one of South Africa's most beloved TV series, first aired in 1994 and became the show that a generation of kids grew up with and had millions of fans. While the show doesn't boast with the stars it started with anymore, it's still an SA TV legacy.
Many South Africans still remember that 8pm was a time for families to come together and watch Generations and see what their favourite characters were getting up to.
It was one of the most-loved TV shows and as Phatu Makwarela, one of the creative brains behind The Queen, said - it was to South Africa what Dallas was to America.
The show's cast has become celebs since being introduced to SA. Connie Ferguson, Menzi Ngubane, Katlego Danke, and Sophie Ndaba are just a few of our fav celebs who we got to know through our screens thanks to Generations.
Phatu recently gave a shoutout to the TV show, remembering how the show created celebs that are still adored today.
It didn't take long for South Africans to join the conversation and reminisce with Phatu:
