Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema met struggle stalwart and former Constitutional Court judge Albie Sachs yesterday.
EFF shared photos of the two on its Twitter page, Briefly.co.za gathered. It accompanied the images with the caption:
Today, the EFF President @Julius_S_Malema briefly met with former Constitutional Court Judge Albie Sachs, who presented him with his work, including a book he wrote about Oliver Tambo.
Malema is noted for his radical approach to land expropriation without compensation. In recent comments, however, Albie suggested he prefers a more measured approach.
News24 quoted Sachs as saying:
I don't like war talk. We've got to find ways other than war. It doesn't mean people mustn't be angry; it is the anger of ages. We need to channel anger in a constructive way.
Nevertheless, South Africans on Twitter lauded the meeting even though Malema and Sachs are seemingly from different ends of the political spectrum.
