The Economic Freedom Fighters' leader, Julius Malema, recently rubbed shoulders with superstar Usher in Sandton's Taboo club. He shared a snap of himself with the singer and captioned it "Don't tell Rupert", referring to the billionaire's remark that young people waste their money at the exclusive club.
Julius Malema recently had the chance to hang out with American superstar Usher, who's in SA after he was at the Global Citizen Festival. However, he did it in a place that might just make billionaire Johann Rupert smirk with victory.
Malema shared a snap of himself smiling widely with Usher Sandton's popular club, Taboo. He captioned the snap "Don't tell Rupert", of course referring to Rupert's earlier remark about the club.
Rupert earlier came under fire for saying that the youth of South Africa wastes their money on BMWs and hanging out in Taboo, as reported on by Briefly.co.za.
It seems Malema may just have proven Rupert right. However, Malema got some heat after sharing the photo on social media.
The Citizen reports that most fans thought Malema was being very funny, but others disapproved of him being at the club.
Apparently, some fans feel that Malema should stick to fighting the poor and not hang around in an exclusive club like Taboo.
