When a nurse and her friends were left stranded thanks to a flat tyre, a young man decided he would help them rather than simply drive by. His simple act of kindness warmed the hearts of South Africans.
Lerato Thobedi, a dedicated nurse from Parys hospital, and two of her friends were very happy and grateful when a young stranger came to their rescue.
They were so pleased that they shared their story with a Facebook group that is focused on sharing good news about and with South Africans, Positive Racial Testimonies in SA.
The three women were left stranded with a flat tyre on the bridge over the Vaal river towards Fochville and Potchefstroom.
A young man, identified only as Brandon, decided he would not drive by like the other motorists, but instead help the stressed women.
He quickly assisted the women in changing the flat tyre.
While this may be a very simple act, it shows of the kindness that every South African is born with. We are a caring and loving nation, and there is hope for a bright future thanks to people like Brandon.
Briefly.co.za gathered what a couple of other South Africans had to say on social media:
Lulu Jordaan - There is always time for a little kindness along the way. These are the bright shining lights in this messy world.
Ntsika Malkovich - Our beautiful South Africa let's build it to a better place
Cheryl Olckers - So nice to read these positive feeds and not the violent propaganda. .. this is the SA we want...
Bernard Saffy - This is how it should be without fear of it been a trap
Philip Cotsicos - I love random acts of kindness that are unexpected - well done, Brandon!
