Former Rhythm City and Generations actor, Sphamandla ‘Spha’ Dhludhlu, spent a night behind bars after he was arrested for a violent incident in a Fourways nightclub. Spha allegedly stabbed his friend.
Sphamandla ‘Spha’ Dhludhlu, known for his roles in Rhythm City and Generations: The Legacy, allegedly stabbed a friend of his after a night of clubbing and drinking.
The incident reportedly happened at the Fourways nightclub, Cubana.
SowetanLIVE reports that the actor was with his friend, Lusaso "Saso" Sokhela, and were drinking before a fight ensued and Spha stabbed the friend in the face with a broken beer bottle.
Spha claims he did not mean to stab his friend and was in a fight with another person in the club.
Spha spent a night in jail, but the charge of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm was dropped against him after he apologised.
However, Briefly.co.za gathered that Saso has a different story to tell. He says he was stabbed in the parking lot of a shopping centre in Fourways, not a club.
According to an eyewitness, the fight was about an unpaid drinking bill that Spha had racked up the night before at the Cubana.
Saso had to pay a bill of about R15 000, according to reports. It's not clear yet whose story is true.
Spha was not available for comment about the incident.
