When a colleague fell on hard times, a group of restaurant staff went out of their way for their friend by organising him a new car.
When their co-worker's car was stolen from the parking lot outside the eatery he works for, the whole group of staff came together to buy Kea a new car.
When the staff at Ruffino on the River, in Lafayette in the US state of Louisiana found out that Kea's car was snatched, the management decided to do something out of this world for the long-time employee, East Coast Radio reported.
Briefly.co.za learner that in a video, it shows just how special the moment was for Kea.
"Look at me, you're family alright? You've been here a long time, you work your butt off. We want you to be here as long as you can be here so we got you a little something," his manager told him.
Moments later, a group of people standing in the parking lot disperse to reveal a new car for the employee.
It was an emotional reveal for Kea, who cried and cried, while dishing out hugs left, right and centre.
Social media users praised the restaurant's gesture:
Chloe Thibodeaux comented: "Good things happen to good people! Awesome."
Thobile Myaka was moved by their kindness:
"It's so amazing and incredible that he has colleagues who have a heart of gold, they are helpful colleagues. There are very few colleagues who would do what they did for that man. I am so happy for him. May god bless the colleagues for what they did for him."
