Jake Marr, from Phoenix, Arizona, posted the video on his Twitter page on 5 December, Briefly.co.za gathered. He captioned it:
Meet Matthew. He is probably the happiest kid I have ever met. He loves cement trucks so I went [out] and got him one for Christmas.
The sheer joy on Matthew's face while receiving the gift has warmed the hearts of thousands of Twitter users around the world.
The video has racked up an astonishing 98,000 retweets and 470,000 likes so far. It has also received over 2,600 replies from inspired tweeps.
Twitter users applauded Matthew for his kind, generous, and thoughtful gesture. Matthew's mom, Sarah Giddings, also expressed her appreciation to Jake.
