Pearl Thusi has done. It she will be starring in Netflix's first original series in Africa, Queen Sono. What an achievement.

It has been an extremely proud and emotional time for Pearl, a "dream come true".

Briefly.co.za learnt that, after all the drama and struggle that she has fought in the world of entertainment, Pear feels like the universe/God, has heard her.

“I'm so proud and grateful for everyone that made this happen. This was a dream of mine from a little girl," expressed Pearl.

Kagiso Lediga, the director, said the series is going to open doors for SA. The series is due to start production in 2019.

We believe Queen Sono will kick the door open for more awesome stories from this part of the world,” stated Kaiso.

This series is going to put South Africa on the map in a way that not many can even understand right now. Being a part of this incredible opportunity is something else for Pearl.

The series is based around the life of Queen Sono who is a highly trained top spy in a South African agency whose purpose is to better the lives of African citizens, according to Netflix.

Viewers will get to see this heroic character take on her most dangerous mission yet, and go through life changes that will define her.

Pearl cannot wait for her fans, Mzansi, and the rest of the world to meet Queen Sono.
