A group photo of graduating doctors at Walter Sisulu University is inspiring thousands of South Africans on Twitter.

A Twitter user, Yannick Leyka, shared the snap on his profile on 9 December. He accompanied it with the caption:

Congratulations to the WSU MBChB class of 2018. I really really love this picture so much, your doctors South Africa.

A peek at Yannick's Twitter page reveals why the group photo moved him so much. He also graduated as a doctor from Wits University last week, Briefly.co.za learned.

He posted on Twitter about finally achieving his dream of becoming a doctor. His tweet went super viral, amassing an incredible 325,000 likes and 37,000 retweets.

Yannick wasn't alone in being inspired by the WSU medical graduates.

Tweeps congratulated the group and said the graduates inspired them. They also noted with pride that they were mostly women.
