A local woman struggled for months to sell her vehicle but to no avail. Eventually it inspired her to start a goodwill organisation.
Sally Wellbeloved shared a post on Facebook declaring a special announcement on 7th December.
In it, she confirmed that she was unable to sell her Mitsubishi Pajero SUV even though it was on the market for many months.
She then goes on to explain the reason for purchase and rationale behind the sale.
Essentially, she took out vehicle finance to purchase the vehicle to assist her boyfriend at the time.
Unfortunately, the couple split up.
To rid herself of the emotional baggage, she attempted to sell the car but hadn’t received any fair offers.
Wellbeloved shared that 2018 has been an extremely challenging year for her and the car repayments added to her woes.
However, she is determined to learn the lesson it was meant to teach her and sees it as a blessing.
Through her adversity, she came up with the novel idea of raising R200 000.
The purpose is to settle the financed amount, purchase a new set of tyres and donate it to an anti-poaching organisation.
Wellbeloved then hopes to take things 1 step further by establishing this funding mechanism to hopefully raise R200 000 on a monthly basis for various charity organisations.
Briefly.co.za noted the noble gesture was well received by other Facebook users as 149 people liked the post.
