A young American woman bought herself a promise ring recently as an expression of self-love.
The woman, who's only known as Ashley on Twitter, shared a picture of her ring on her profile, Briefly.co.za gathered. She accompanied it with the caption:
I bought myself a promise ring! No guy has ever given me one, & I decided I’m not going to let a boy determine whether I'm worth making a promise to. This ring is a promise to always love myself & to never give up on myself.

Ashley's sweet gesture to herself touched hundreds of Twitter users, picking up almost 600 likes so far.
Many of them praised her for showing herself love and motivating herself in the process. They also encouraged her never to give up.
