Police flash mob? Cops make residents' day with pop up performance

The team at Shap Shap cinemas popped in at their local shopping centre for supplies and caught an impromptu live performance by a police band.

Shap Shap Cinemas sets up cinemas or movie houses at public arenas, such as town halls, schools and churches.

Their objective is to inspire and educate people by producing content in Zulu.

The Shap Shap team decided to pop in at their local SPAR to get food supplies for 1 of their community feeding schemes.

As they got there, they were treated to a surprise pop up performance by a SAPS band.

The group described the performance as epic as they shared the footage via their Facebook page.

They also witnessed the SAPS march against drug and alcohol abuse at the Hammarsdale shopping centre.

Shoppers were treated to a lively orchestral performance and some were seen moving to the beat.

The South African National Defence Force boasts 9 main military bands and they are affiliated with the police bands.
