Capetonian Officer, 55, graduates and proves you’re never too old to learn

The City of Cape Town shared a very popular post on Thursday confirming the graduation of traffic cop, Gakiem Mohamed – at the ripe old age of 55.

Gakiem Mohamed earned a BTech degree recently and the City of Cape Town shared the news via their Facebook page.

At 55, Mohamed has proved it really is never too late to learn and pursue our dreams.

What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the fact that he’s done so while working full-time and doing voluntary work.

Mohamed is employed at the Hillstar Traffic Department and volunteers at the St. John Ambulance charity.

Many friends, family and colleagues congratulated Mohamed and wished him well.
