Former Home Affairs minister Malusi Gigaba could be returning to parliament after the 2019 elections
Malusi Gigaba has been nominated by KZN branches during the list conference which started last week.
Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu, ANC provincial spokesperson, has confirmed that he has been nominated.
According to the Daily Sun, Gigaba sits at the 19th spot on the proposed list. NEC member Nocawe Mafu said that a member needed to be nominated by four provinces to qualify for a seat in parliament.
Following the Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s recommendation that the president take action against Gigaba, the former minister had resigned.
Simelane-Zulu however would not confirm anything until the official list had been released by the ANC.
