Twitter was literally never ready for former President Jacob Zuma. Yesterday, he posted a video showing off his soccer skills.

Zuma teamed up with a group of kids for a game of soccer at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, Briefly.co.za gathered.

He had a hilarious caption for the video: "Someone tell Stuart Baxter I’m match fit @BafanaBafana."

For his age, Zuma's soccer skills aren't bad at all. He is seen at the start of the video dribbling before kicking the ball towards goal.

From the reaction of those around him, it seems he scored. However, he was a little less successful in another shot at goal later in the footage.

The former president's post warmed the hearts of thousands of people, racking up over 131,000 views so far. It has also been liked more than 10,000 times.

Among those who replied to the video was Cape Town City football club, which said coach Benni McCarthy was watching. To this, Zuma joked with his trademark laugh:
