Just when Mzansi was losing hope and feeling betrayed, Beyoncé finally pulled through and gave South Africa the shout out we had all been waiting for.

Briefly.co.za previously reported how after performing at the Global Citizen Festival, Bey neglected to post any videos or pictures to her social media of the event. This made the people of Mzansi feel some type of way.

Well, better late than never, we supposed. Bey finally took to her 121-million followers on Instagram and gave Mzansi a little love. Clearly she got the message and felt the heat.

Making up for her blatant neglect, Bey posted a video from the event that was accompanied by a caption filled with pride, recognition and acknowledgement of Africa’s greatness.

It was a super nice touch for Bey, or her social media team, to use DJ Maphorisa with DJ Raybel featuring Moonchild Sanelly, K.O and Zulu Makhathini's song, iWalk Ye Phara, in the background of the post.

Mere hours after Bey’s post, Maphorisa topped the trend list on Twitter. Bey really pulled through on this one, Maphorisa went international! Mzansi was overwhelmed with pride.

Bey also took time to thank the incredible SA designers that had her looking on point through her stay in Mzansi. It’s about time, but we won’t hold onto the past.
