Former Eskom CEO Brian Dames quits Eskom Sustainability Task Team

Former Eskom CEO Brian Dames has resigned for the Eskom sustainability task team

Brian Dames has announced his resignation from the eight-person task team appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Presidency revealed that Dames had raised issues over a perceived conflict of interest relating to the scope of the work as well as the terms of reference of the team.

Despite his resignation Dames says that he is still willing to serve South Africa in other aspects.

Briefly.co.za reported recently that President Ramaphosa had appointed a task team to advise the government on key issues at the power utility.

The high-level task team consists of professionals with extensive expertise in electricity, management and economics and will take on Eskom’s operational,financial and structural challenges.
