A 100-year-old grandmother in Paulpietersburg, KwaZulu-Natal, has a brand new home thanks to the provincial government.
KZN's human settlements department formally handed over the fully furnished house to Mrs Zenzile Nkwanyana earlier today, Briefly.co.za learned.
The department shared photos of the handover on its Facebook page.
In its post, the department said:
Christmas came early for the elderly 100-year-old Mrs Zenzile Nkwanyana from Bilanyoni in Paulpietersburg as she receives a brand new, fully-furnished house following the Premier's visit through the Operation Sukuma Sakhe Programme.
Officials also presented Mrs Nkwanyana several household items such as crockery and blankets.
