The Rustenburg woman who bagged R46m in a recent Lotto draw plans to go back to school.
This week, the 44-year-old visiten the Ithuba offices in Jozi where she claimed her prize. The mother blamed her lack of education for her constant battle to find employment and inability to give her children the life they deserve. But thanks to Lotto, she may never have to work another day in her life.
According to TimesLIVE, the mother only has a Grade 7 qualification. She told the publication she felt ashamed and added she blamed being poor on her lack of education.
Despite probably not needing a qualification ever again, the mother said she will focus on getting an education now that she doesn't have to struggle to put food on the table.
She even wants to undertake a course in money management to better manage her winnings.
She also said Ithuba gave her good financial advice, helping her make sound financial investments with her winnings.
"I am comfortable to say that this money will guard me and my family our whole lives," she said.
The newest jackpot winner said a low point in her life was when she was unable to pay for her son's matric farewell dance.
She told Ithuba it was painful not being able to give her children the life they deserved, let alone provide to their basic needs.
Briefly.co.za learned that apart from chasing her dreams of becoming educated, the mother also wants to purchase a house for her family, away from Rustenburg.
Not only will she work on furthering her education, but she also wants to invest in the best education for her children too.
