When international music star Beyoncé decided to share a post on social media with a background song by locals DJ Maphorisa and DJ Raybel, featuring Moonchild Sanelly, Zulu Mkhathini and K.O, it set South African Twitter on fire.

Most people were so happy to have Mzansi stars recognised in such a manner, and tweeps couldn't stop talking about it.

However, a debate between Pearl Thusi and Lasizwe Dambuza got serious when the two just couldn't agree.

According to a report by ZAlebs, it looks like Pearl misunderstood what Lasizwe said, and she asked him if American recognition is all that matters to him.

A social media argument followed.

Pearl shaded Lasizwe and said she can't wait for "these children" to say the things they say online to people's faces.

Lasizwe tried to turn the tables, but Pearl wasn't having it.

Pearl went on to basically tell Lasizwe that they are not on the same level.

Later, Pearl gave a final stab as she said she will start a crowdfund to help some people find a creative content director and stop stealing content.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Lasizwe said he was innocently tweeting when Pearl started picking on him.

She's used to picking on people. I don't know what her problem is. She picked on me, I didn't pick on anybody.

One of South Africa's queens of clapback has struck again.
