Philemon “Chippa” Masinga recently underwent a minor medical procedure at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, but his wife says he is doing much better. The Bafana Bafana striker is set to return home soon.
Soccer star and legend Phil Masinga's wife, Ntombi Nombewu, expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported the family after they found out he was in hospital.
The 49-year-old was taken to hospital not too long ago, and fans were very worried about their idol.
It was reported that the procedure involved something with his organs, and Ntombi confirmed Phil had an intestinal condition.
The DailySun reported that she also said the doctors were monitoring his condition.
The family is focused on getting Phil better, and hopes that he will be released from hospital soon.
We’re waiting for him to consult with doctors and be given clearance to return home to Klerksdorp, North West.
Briefly.co.za gathered that before he was admitted to hospital, Phil had complained about stomach pains and cramps for about 4 months.
At first doctors said it was peptic ulcers. After a sonar and CT scans a month ago, it was discovered he had a condition.
Ntombi is positive that Phil will be just fine.
He’s a fighter and will overcome the sickness. Our church, the Anglican Church, has been keeping him in their prayers and we have faith he’ll recover.
