Jacob Zuma joined social media platform, Twitter, not too long ago, but has managed to become very popular in his short time as a tweep.

The former president has been using Twitter to discuss his views on his court case as well as interact with South Africans.

He decided to wish South Africa a good Christmas by sharing a short and sweet message on Twitter in video form.

Zuma stated that Christmas is about spending time with family and loved ones, and wished all South Africans a good time on this special day.

Christmas is about spending time with family and friends. It is about creating happy memories that will last a lifetime. Merry Christmas to you and you’re family.

In true Zuma style, he also added a funny quip, comparing Christmas to a thunderstorm - something we must all go through together.
