Rapper Emtee has had a tough year, having fans concerned after a collapse on stage during a concert. However, he seems to be coming back stronger than ever with high hopes for 2019
Earlier this year rapper Emtee had his fans stressed after he collapsed during a live performance.
The incident went viral after a video was posted on social media, with fans calling for him to get help.
Speaking about the incident Emtee said it had simply been a fall, dismissing the rumour of substance abuse being the cause for his collapse.
He revealed that coupled with exhaustion he had also been trying to come to terms with the death of his beloved aunt.
After taking a month long retreat from the spotlight and social media Emtee had returned, completely sober. He said he had taken time to recover in Bloemfontein.
Speaking to TshisaLive he said he was going much better. He admitted that security had been so concerned they had taken him backstage. Chalking the fall up to a trip, he said it could have been a wire on the small stage that caused all the chaos.
Turning a new leaf after the incident Emtee is hard at work, trying to approach his music with more honesty.
"I realised that I have to be responsible because there are a lot of people depending on me. I am a son. I am a father. I am a role model and my music has to reflect that. I want to be more responsible,"
Hopefully we will be seeing Emtee coming back stronger than ever in 2019
