Cassper Nyovest vs AKA was probably the best celeb beef of 2018

Superstar rappers Cassper Nyovest and AKA have been feuding from as far back as 2014 — and 2018 was no different.

One would have thought that perhaps they would cool it off this year, but no. In fact, things reportedly almost got physical between them in June.

The incident unfolded soon after Cassper and DJ Drama popped in on a Touch My Blood after party.

Rumours did the rounds that AKA confronted Cassper, who confirmed it on Twitter.

In May, Cassper apparently threw shade at AKA for "stealing" his music, as Briefly.co.za reported.

In September, AKA took aim at Cassper's partnership with Ciroc.

He said unlike his partnership with Cruz that gives him a slice of profit, Ciroc simply flies around Cassper for appearances.

However, the Get Getsa 2.0 rapper hit back:

Just a month ago, Supa Mega ranked Cassper last on his list of favourite local rappers.

Earlier in the year, the Fela in Versace hitmaker also said he doesn't know if he respects Mufasa as a musician.

Nevertheless, Mufasa's star has been rising. His #FillUpMosesMabhida concert was a huge success. It was closely followed by his impressive performance at the Global Citizen Festival.

Social media was full of accolades for Cassper, something that seemed to upset AKA. He tweeted that people shouldn't talk about him at all when talking about Cassper's concerts.

Should Cassper and AKA's fans expect more of the same in 2019? Whatever the case, their beef has been quite intense in 2018.
