Christmas Day was a big day for many South African families as they welcomed new members into their families on this day. More than 213 babies were born across 4 provinces on the 25th of December 2018.
Gauteng has welcomed 53 little ones into the world by lunchtime on 25 December. Officials from the Home Affairs Department was at the various hospitals across the province to register the babies.
Briefly.co.za reported that Gauteng normally has the highest number of babies born on Christmas Day but this year Limpopo surpassed the province as 60 babies were born there.
A report by News24 indicates that KwaZulu-Natal welcomed 45 babies born and Limpopo saw 60 newborns on the 25th.
The Western Cape saw 58 babies born across the province's government hospitals on Christmas Day.
It is reported by EWN that 17 girls were born and 41 boys. However, it is for sure that this number has grown since the reports were shared.
