- News of the passing of a huge Kaizer Chiefs fan, Peter Motsai, was shared via social media and many are mourning his death

- Motsai was recently in the spotlight as footage of him wearing an Orlando Pirates jersey went viral

Aki Anastasiou (@AkiAnastasiou) shared a post via Twitter which revealed the passing of his close friend, Peter Motsai.

The journalist regarded Motsai as a brother and passed on his condolences to Motsai’s family.

The tweet also revealed the love of football shared by the 2 men but also their sporting rivalry as Anastasiou is an ardent Orlando Pirates supporter, whereas Motsai was a die-hard Kaizer Chiefs fan.

The pair made news headlines a few weeks ago as their rivalry went viral via social media.

On that occasion, Motsai lost a bet with Anastasiou and was forced to wear a Buccaneers jersey in the office for the day.

Briefly.co.za noted that Motsai jokingly referred to himself as the biggest Kaizer Chiefs fan (literally).

Many tweeps were shocked to hear of his passing and extended their condolences to his family.
