- Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, is not impressed with adjustment made to Maths results by Umlasi
- The upward adjustment basically means students got free marks on their tests
- Lesufi feels it shows a bias towards the IEB learners
Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng's Education MEC, is not satisfied with Umalasi's decision to make adjustments to Maths exam results.
According to Lesufi, he is also unhappy that no one is making any noise about the adjustments made.
Last year, the Democratic Alliance nearly took Umalusi to court for adjusting the results of the NSC. Now that they have adjusted for the IEB results, no one is making noise.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Umalasi announced that the 2018 matric exams were approved. It also announced that there had to be adjustments made on some other subjects, including Life Sciences and Physics.
Maths got an upward adjustment from the IEB (Independent Examinations Board)
Lesufi says this showed bias towards IEB learners because the paper was assessed before learners could write and they approved it.
