Police are investigating the 3 women who died at Bushiri's church

South African police are investigating the deaths of three women at Dr.Shepherd Huxley Bushiri's church. It's not clear yet who the women are who passed away on the 28th of December at Enlightened Christian Gathering church in Pretoria.

Three women were killed on Friday, 28 December at Prophet Bushiri's Enlightened Christian Gathering church in Pretoria.

The exact cause of death is not clear yet, nor is the identity of the women, according to a report by The Citizen.

The church is located in the Pretoria Showgrounds, and police arrived at the scene after an alleged stampede. It's believed the stampede is what caused the deaths.

Apparently, the stampeded started when it started to rain, and the congregation started to push each other to get out of the rain.

Briefly.co.za gathered that about 12 people were injured.

Captain Augustinah Selepe said the exact cause of the stampede is still under investigation.

An inquest has been opened for investigation. Anyone with a missing person believed to have attended the church service should visit the Pretoria West police station.

The injured people were taken to Kalafong Hospital and Pretoria West Hospital. The three deceased were taken to a funeral parlour.
