International singers and bands got on the bandwagon and did the gwara gwara for all the world to see - making South Africa rather proud.
Even actress Taraji Henson took a shot at it - and nailed it in less than a minute!

TimesLIVE reports that in the past Swizz Beatz and Chris Brown also tried the gwara gwara, but we're looking at the celebs who did it in 2018.
Rihanna
When Ri-Ri did the gwara gwara at the Grammy Awards, even DJ Bongz was impressed. Briefly.co.za reported that the man responsible for gwara gwara’s popularity said he was honoured that Rihanna incorporated the dance in her routine.
I created the dance from scratch and it feels so special to have it shown on an international stage like the Grammys. It shows that Africa can make a big impact on international dance.
Childish Gambino
South Africans were impressed with Childish Gambino when he did the classic gwara gwara in his This Is America video.
