A video showing a police van allegedly relocating personal belongings has sparked debate on social media.

Twitter account @RSATruth shared the video yesterday, Briefly.co.za gathered. It accompanied it with the caption:

To the #southafrican #police #minister #BhekiCele @SAPoliceService - Is this an approved personal belonging relocation whilst victims of #crime are neglected because there are no police vehicles available?

It's unclear when and where the video was taken. The van however appears to have the word "Giyani" written on it.

The footage sparked intense debate among social media users. Some expressed outrage at what they termed "misuse of public resources."

However, other commenters suggested various above-board explanations for the van to carry such a load.
